For this we determined the dimensional stability of the wood by means of the coefficients of linear and volumetric shrinkage, and anisotropic factor. For the mechanical characterization tests were carried static bending, compression parallel to grain, parallel tension, perpendicular tension, shear, cracking, Janka hardness and dynamics bending. The species showed better physical properties as well as for the mechanical properties, in which showed to be superior in most assays. Among the exotic species for the best performance was a mechanical property of Pinus elliottii.
Keywords: physical properties, mechanical properties, wood quality. ER -
