Abstract

Sustainable agriculture seeks alternative means to control the fungal attack according to the particularities of each fungus, in order to reduce the use of agrochemicals. Alcoholic extracts are an alternative, since they are natural products extracted from plants or parts of it that have a fungicidal effect. Thus, the objective of this work was to test the in vitro control of Rhizoctonia sp. using different concentrations of alcoholic extract of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis). For this, an experiment was set up in a completely randomized design with 6 concentrations of alcoholic extract of Sacha Inchi (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10%) with 8 repetitions. The daily growth of the colony, the mycelial growth rate index (IVCM) and the percentage of growth inhibition (PIC) were measured. The data obtained were analyzed via polynomial regression analysis using RStudio software. From the concentration of 6% the fungus shows little development, and at the maximum tested dose (10%) the growth of the fungus is practically zero. The alcoholic extract of Sacha Inchi is efficient from a concentration of 6%, which makes it suitable for the control of the fungus Rhizoctonia sp.
