General aspects about three types of papers

Abstract

The aim of this study was to present some general aspects related to papers used for sanitary purposes, packaging, and printing, as they are widely used in modern society. Papers for sanitary purposes are also known as tissue papers and their main representatives are toilet papers, napkins, towels and tissue. Its most demanded characteristics are high softness and good liquid absorption. These types of papers had substantial consumption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Paper packaging is intended for the packaging of products, to ensure the conservation, protection and handling of objects. This segment developed because of online sales, which were also driven by social isolation caused by the pandemic. Printing papers fall into two important categories, known as couché and offset, which have been reduced in use due, in part, to the rapid growth of digital media. In general, the consumption of the three types of roles listed in the study was closely related to the population's customs and the historical moment it is experiencing
