Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic had profound impacts that triggered a series of consequences that affected society in different spheres. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of undergraduate students about the virus and the symptoms of COVID-19, to analyze the preventive measures adopted, the most common sequelae and to verify their knowledge about the approved vaccines. The analysis was through the application of an online questionnaire made available by GoogleForms. In view of the analysis of the responses, most participants are from the area of Biological Sciences and have knowledge about viruses. The pandemic has resulted in a significant increase in the number of hospitalizations, and early identification of COVID-19 symptoms such as shortness of breath, loss of smell and fever is critical to reducing the spread of the virus and relieving pressure on the health care system. health. The use of masks and social isolation were widely adopted as preventive measures. The most common sequelae of COVID-19 have been identified in the pulmonary, psychological and neurological areas. Vaccines played an important role in reducing contagion and controlling the spread of the virus, with acceptance of vaccination being a crucial strategy in coping with COVID-19.
