Ruptura traqueal em cão - relato de caso

Rupturas traqueias apresentam alto risco e são incomuns em cães, ocorrem normalmente devido a lesões traumáticas como mordeduras, mas podem ser causadas iatrogenicamente. O enfisema subcutâneo ocorre secundário ao extravasamento de ar pelo defeito e pode se tornar generalizado se não corrigido rapidamente, outros sintomas incluem dispneia e cianose. O diagnóstico é realizado atraves dos sinais clínicos, histórico de brigas, traumas ou intubação recentes e exploração cirúrgica seguida da correção do defeito. O tratamento clínico não é recomendado na maioria dos casos. O prognóstico é favorável desde que a ruptura seja corrigida precocemente. O presente estudo relata um animal apresentando enfisema subcutâneo generalizado secundário a ruptura traqueal tratado cirurgicamente
