Abstract. Paraphimosis occurs for the inability of penile retraction and non-internalization to the foreskin, it can occur as a result of trauma, post-copulation, secondary to neoplasms, among other causes. The present work aims to report a case of paraphimosis in a young German shepherd dog, nine months old, with no defined cause, treated at the Veterinary Hospital of UFMT Campus de Sinop, clinically diagnosed by visual inspection of the penile exposure, without increase in penile volume, or secondary lesions. Clinical treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs was instituted, but there was no resolution and surgical correction was then instituted using the preputial lengthening technique associated with orchiectomy, with a favorable response.
